U.S. Sen. Rick Scott planned meetings on Sunday in Destin, near where Hurricane Isaias made landfall on Friday night as a Category 2 storm. Isaias, which weakened after landfall, killed at least four people in Florida and Alabama, including a man and a woman in Escambia County, according to officials. Scott planned to stop at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at Dewey Destin’s Seafood, a waterfront restaurant at 9 Calhoun Ave., which has a view of the Crab Islands.Parker Destin, the restaurant’s owner; Bobby Wagner, the mayor of Destin; and Okaloosa County Commissioners Carolyn Ketchel, Trey Goodwin, and Drew Palmer were among the people Scott planned on meeting with.
