Flood watch remains in effect as heavy rain threatens South Florida — Coral Gables Sports news

A Flood Watch remains in effect for our region until Monday at 3 p.m.Dolphin fans, keep the ponchos handy and watch out for a strong storm that could produce a round or two of lightning at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, especially at the start of the game. With periods of soaking rain expected, showers will persist across our region this evening and into Monday. Depending on where the heaviest rain sets up, some areas could pick up 3 to 5 inches of rainfall, with isolated higher totals of up to 7 inches.Along the coastline, heavy rain could worsen flooding, especially during high tide. Look for a drier weather pattern to return by the middle of the week.
